Target has signed on to become the long-awaited fifth anchor at Westfield Shoppingtown Topanga. The discount retailer will join a new Neiman Marcus unit, an expanded Nordstrom and Robinsons-May and Sears, which already operate at the mall. The deal comes as Westfield gets ready to begin a $300 million makeover and expansion at the Canoga Park center. The new Target store will be housed in a two-level building of 160,000 square feet. It is scheduled to open in the fall of 2006. Neiman will open in spring, 2008.
