Arnold Schaffer, Chief Executive Officer for Providence Health System San Fernando and Santa Clarita Valleys Service Area, begins his position as Chairman of the Hospital Association of Southern California Executive Committee when the committee meets on January 25. Schaffer will serve as chairman for one year, and said he hopes to lead Southern California hospitals in improving care, safety and access to care and in helping make health care more affordable. Schaffer has previously served as President of Glendale Memorial Hospital and Chief Executive Officer of Garfield Medical Center in Monterey Park and Encino/Tarzana Regional Centers.
