Vitesse Semiconductor Corp. has cut its forecast for fourth-quarter revenue to $48 million from a previous estimate of $52 to $53 million. The company said revenue in its first fiscal quarter of 2006 would be $53 million to $54 million. Vitesse is due to report its fourth-quarter and annual results for the year ended September 30 toward the end of October.
