Health Net of California has appointed three executives to head its commercial, Medicare and State Health Programs. Mark Morgan was named commercial officer and is responsible for the company’s large-group, mid-market, small-business group and individuals lines of business. Included are the companies Mexi-Plan and Salud con Health Net of California, which lets members select medical care in California or Mexico. David Friedman was named government programs officer and will be responsible for the performance of the State Health Programs area, which administers Medi-Cal, Healthy Families, Health Kids and other programs Krista Bowers was named Medicare officer, and will be in charge of administering Medicare Advantage programs in California. Health Net is the nation’s fifth-largest Medicare benefits provider.
