A handful of auto dealerships are planning expansions along Lancaster’s Auto Mall on 10th Street West. Mike Taheri, who owns Lancaster Honda, plans to purchase a six-acre site at K-8 and 10th streets to construct a new dealership. Taheri also plans to renovate his existing buildings. The proposal will be heard during a July 11 Lancaster City Council meeting. Sierra Toyota also plans to expand its footprint. Owner JCH Automotive Properties is looking to purchase lots eight and nine of the Auto Mall, which totals 4.29 acres. That move awaits approval from the City Council and Lancaster Redevelopment Agency. Both dealers cited increased sales as the reason for the expansions, according to the city.
