North Hollywood-based Walt Disney Internet Group has launched Disney Mobile, a wireless service aimed at families. The service allows parents to set certain allowances on the cell phones, such as the amount of minutes used and number of text messages and downloads. It also creates certain limits on when the phones can used and features Global Positioning System technology that allows parents to locate the devices. The service will offer individual and family plans. Disney Mobile will operate off the Sprint Nationwide PCS Network.
