Galpin Motors has opened Galpin Auto Sports, a full-service customizing center for cars and trucks. The move caps a two-year development effort to capitalize on the growing interest in customization. Galpin Auto Sports will offer services ranging from high-performance engine modifications to custom paints and interiors and audio-video equipment. Located at the company’s North Hills complex, the showroom measures 7,000 square feet and employs about 25 sales, technical and service employees. Galpin has a tradition of customizing cars, work the auto dealer has referred to as “Galpinizing.” The company was the first to offer a sunroof in the U.S. The Auto Sports center will not be limited to the brands Galpin sells however. Services for every make and model of vehicle will be offered.
