Igor Pasternak, founder and CEO of Worldwide Aeros in Tarzana was named Entrepreneur of the Year by the Small Business Association Los Angeles office. The company makes airships, and tethered aerostatic ships to sell to customers both in the military and commercial markets. Worldwide Aeros is also working on a prototype heavy-lift aircraft for the Department of the Defense that combines elements of helicopter, blimp and jet technology to lift over 500 tons. “Igor Pasternak has taken the journey from conceptualization and creative genius state, through the difficult and fraught-with-pitfalls research and developmental stage, arriving at the dividend point whereby that genius is now being rewarded,” said Alberto Alvarado, Los Angeles SBA District Director Alberto G. Alvarado “As a true entrepreneur, he created 50 jobs contributing to his community’s economic development.
