Drug maker Amgen Inc. reported adjusted earnings per diluted share for third quarter 2006 increased 22 percent to $1.04. Adjusted net income increased 15 percent to $1.2 million compared to $1.1 million during third quarter 2005. Total revenue increased 15 percent to $3.61 billion from last year, the company reported. Product sales also increased during the quarter to $3.5 billion from $3.05 billion during the same 2005 quarter.
