The Encino Wellness Center has shut down after its corporate parent terminated an agreement with the center’s operator. Starmed Group Inc. severed ties with Mothers and Daughters Center, which operated the center at 16250 Ventura Blvd., the company said. Starmed said the termination stems from a disagreement over compensation between the two sides. In a release, the company said relations were strained and Starmed “believed it was in the best interests to close the facility instead of continuing to operate it.” Starmed, based in Century City, also closed a clinic in Santa Ana.
