Acquisition Leads to Job Gains

Precision Dynamics Corp. expects to hire as many as 45 new employees following its acquisition of the wristband identification product line from an Illinois company. Production of the Ident-A-Band and WrisTicket brands will move from the Hollister Inc. facility in Libertyville, Ill., to Precision’s facilities in San Fernando and Mexico. Forty to 45 employees will be hired to work the lines, most of those in San Fernando, said company spokeswoman Paula Moggio. The purchase is expected to close later this month. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Ident-A-Band was one of Precision’s largest competitors in wristbands for the healthcare industry, Moggio said. WrisTicket is similar to product that Precision makes for use in crowd control and in large venues. The acquisition of that line will enhance Precision’s presence in the animal identification band market, Moggio said.
