The Los Angeles Unified School District and labor officials have agreed to a slightly revised set of health benefits for union workers. The most significant change is that workers will have to work a longer period before becoming eligible for retirement benefits. The revision affects about 90,000 district union workers and their dependents, along with retirees. The contract expired in late June.
