Ticket Broker Firm Reaches $5 Million in Revenues

Ticket agency Tix4Tonight doubled its revenues and sold more than a half million discounted tickets to Las Vegas shows and events in 2006, its parent company Tix Corp. announced Monday. Tix4Tonight had revenues of $5.4 million from ticket commissions and fees, a 100 percent increase from the $2.7 million in revenues earned in 2005. The company sold 573,597 tickets in 2006, a 79 percent increase from the 319,238 tickets sold in 2005. The average ticket price increased to $36.38 in 2006, as compared to $28.25 in 2005. “We are gratified to be able to report such significant increases in our business results for the past year,” said Mitch Francis, CEO and president of Studio City-based Tix Corp., in a statement. “We look forward to continuing this growth which we hope to accomplish through enhancement of our current product lines and expansion into new related directions such as our entry into selling premium tickets on a national level.” Tix Corp. expanded into national sales through the acquisition in March of AnyEvent.com, a ticket broker with offices in Cleveland and Las Vegas that handles tickets for concerts, sports and theater events across the country.
