A coalition of labor unions, human rights activists and others is calling for a repeat of the last year’s boycott in support of immigrant’s rights. Dubbed Great American Boycott II, the event is designed to raise awareness for immigrant’s rights and their contributions to the economy. The organizers, The March 25 Coalition, are asking for an end to raids and deportations as well as the termination of free trade agreements such as NAFTA, among other demands, according to the group’s website. The demonstration last year in Los Angeles drew a reported one-half million people.
