H & M; Hennes & Mauritz AB, a Swedish retailer that is in the midst of an aggressive expansion into the Southern California market, reported that same store sales rose 17 percent in March. Total sales for the month, which also saw H & M; introduce a line co-designed by Madonna, rose 29 percent. H & M; is set to open a store in Westfield Topanga in about a month.
