Integrated circuit developer Inphi will open a new design center in the Silicon Valley as part of its expansion campaign, the company announced. Westlake Village-based Inphi expects to hire 100 employees for the center within five years. “This location enables us to synchronize our development initiatives with our Silicon Valley-based strategic partners and customers, and capitalize on the area’s enormous cache of talent and knowledge,” said Norman K. Yeung, vice president of engineering. Ali Wehbi will manage the new design center. Wehbi previously served as vice president of design engineering for Mobius Microsystems.
