Warner Bros. Launches Superhero Shoes

Warner Bros. Consumer Products and Crocs, Inc. have inked a deal to use super hero characters Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman on a line of shoes. The new line of Crocs footwear and Jibbitz shoe charms will be available at select U.S. retail locations this summer. “Crocs is a universally recognized for creating diverse footwear for all ages and partnering their unique product line with the brands of DC Comics is a natural fit,” said Karen McTier, executive vice president of domestic licensing and worldwide marketing for Warner Bros. Consumer Products, in a statement. Warner Bros. Consumer Products is a division of Warner Bros. Entertainment, based in Burbank. The agreement is another step forward in the evolution of Crocs licensing strategy, said Ron Snyder, CEO of the Colorado-based firm. “Partnering with leading entertainment companies like Warner Bros. will allow us to continually bring fresh, new products to consumers from all walks of life and we look forward to capitalizing on the many opportunities that exist going forward,” Snyder said.
