Councilmember Wendy Greuel was re-elected Tuesday as president pro tem of the Los Angeles City Council. Greuel represents the Second Districts, which includes parts of the northeast San Fernando Valley. She was first elected to the council in 2002. As president pro tem, Greuel serves as council president in the absence of President Eric Garcetti. The council elects a president, president pro tem and assistant president pro tem every two years.
