Patrick Petre, administrator of Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center, announced July 11 that he is resigning to be director of Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton, where he is scheduled to take the helm Aug. 6. Petre has been at Providence Saint Joseph since April 2003 and will remain there for another month, according to hospital spokesman Brian Greene. A replacement has not been hired to take over for Petre, Greene said. Providence Saint Joseph will conduct a search shortly.
