Teledyne Income Climbs in Q2

Teledyne Technologies Inc. had a 16 percent increase in net income for the second quarter when compared with the previous year, the company announced. The Thousand-Oaks based maker of electronics, aerospace engines and components and energy systems reported a net income of $24.3 million, or $0.67 per diluted share on revenues of $400.3 million, for the quarter ending June 30. That is a 16 percent increase of the $20.9 million in net income, or $0.59 per diluted share on revenues of $348 million, for the same reporting period in 2006. This marked the thirteenth consecutive quarter of double digit percentage increases in earning per share, said Teledyne Chairman, President and CEO Robert Mehrabian.
