Television and motion picture production days in Santa Clarita increased 94 percent in February from a year before, the city’s Film Office reported. Production crews filmed in Santa Clarita 70 days during the month a product of multiple crews filming on the same day compared to 36 days a year before. Fifty-six of the days were for TV productions, including “Big Love,” “John from Cincinnati” and “NCIS.” The city is currently home to seven network television programs. The city has hosts 572 film days in the first eight months of fiscal year 2006-2007, which has generated $14.6 million for the local economy, the city said.
