Jim Warren, 59, COO of BRC Imagination Arts

Jim Warren, who oversaw the daily operations of museum exhibit designer BRC Imagination Arts, died May 12 from cancer. He was 59. Warren worked for 14 years at the Burbank-based firm, managing its overall growth that saw the company expand from 20 employees to 80 employees and open subsidiaries in the U.S., the U.K., and the Netherlands. “Jim possessed an almost unheard of ability to negotiate the minute details of our business, while never losing sight of the humanity or the big picture,” said company founder and Chairman Bob Rogers. During Warren’s tenure, BRC was honored with more than 250 international awards for creative excellence, including two Academy Award nominations and 12 THEA Awards for Outstanding Achievement in themed entertainment. Warren is survived by his wife, Christie, and two sons, Steve and Daniel.
