Corwin Acquires Special Education Publications

Corwin Press has acquired 30 special education publications from Peytral Publications, the company announced. Details of the deal between Thousand Oaks-based Corwin and Peytral, of Minnetonka, Minn. were not disclosed. The acquired list of titles focuses on special education, with an emphasis on inclusive settings and includes a collection of successful books and multimedia resources. The acquisition deepens the Corwin Press product line in special education and strengthens its position as a provider of research-based materials by internationally recognized authors in the field. Corwin Press was the 2007 recipient of the Excellence in Special Education Award from the National Association of Special Education Teachers for a continued commitment to educating and advocating for children with disabilities and their families. Corwin Press is an affiliate of Sage Publications, also based in Thousand Oaks.
