U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) will deliver a “Washington Report” speech at the Santa Clarita Regional Chamber of Commerce Luncheon at noon on Oct. 9 at the Hyatt at Valencia Town Center. Feinstein will discuss the war in Iraq, global warming, the national gang problem, President Bush’s veto of the Children’s Health Insurance Program, Global Warming, and local issues including Cemex and transportation and infrastructure solutions. A question and answer session will follow. At the luncheon, Sen. Feinstein also will present two local students with Stellar Student awards for their outstanding academic performances and community service achievements. The students are Rayven Hicks, a senior at William S. Hart High School and Jillian Tuso, a senior at West Ranch High School.
