ValueClick Revenue Falls Short of Guidance Range

Weak lead generation led ValueClick Inc. to report preliminary third quarter revenue falls short of its guidance range. The Westlake Village-based online marketer expects revenue of $156 to $157 million for the third quarter ending Sept. 30. The prior guidance range had been $155 million to $165 million. For the full fiscal year, the company anticipates revenue in the $635 million to $630 million range compared with the guidance range of $645 million to $660 million. Third quarter revenue was impacted primarily by weakness in lead generation, partially offset by better than expected results in the Comparison Shopping segment. Company management believes that the lead generation business has stabilized. ValueClick releases its third quarter financials on Nov. 1.
