Interlink Electronics Inc. CEO E. Michael Thoben will leave the daily operation of the company early in 2008. Thoben will stay on as a director with the Camarillo-based company and be appointed as vice-chairman of the board. Thoben led the electronic components manufacturer from its early days to a company selling its products to leading electronics makers and financial institutions. “With the recent sale of two of our non-strategic business segments and restructuring of the company, Interlink is well poised to capitalize on the two very exciting market opportunities,” Thoben said. In August, Interlink sold its remote control and branded products businesses for $11 million to better focus on its e-transaction and specialty components segments.
