“Two and a Half Men” Equals $49 Million in Warner Bros. Lawsuit

Warner Bros. Television filed a lawsuit against CBS Television over money the studio says is owed from the hit sitcom “Two and Half Men.” The lawsuit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Dec. 23 states that CBS was obligated to share more revenue and allow Warner to recoup costs from the shows first four seasons if it continued into its fifth and sixth seasons, Reuters reported. Warner Bros. put at $49 million the amount owed in production costs and fees from CBS. “CBS has reaped the benefits of the tremendous success of ‘Two and a Half Men’ but wants to deny Warner Bros the right to its agreed-upon share. It should not be permitted to do so,” Reuters quoted the lawsuit. The lawsuit said the show generates hundreds of millions of dollars for the network, Reuters reported.
