$5.5 Million Investment For Analyzer Firm

A Malaysian investor is putting $5.5 million into Electronic Sensor Technology, the developer and manufacturer of chemical vapor analyzers. When the deal closes in March, the new investor, who was not named, will own up to 44 percent of the shares in the Newbury Park-based company. Of the investment amount, $2 million will be used by EST to expand global sales and marketing and for development of next generation products, President and CEO Barry S. Howe said. “[The funding] will greatly simplify and strengthen the company’s capital structure,” Howe added.
