LANCASTER – New homes built in the city could be subject to an array of new water-saving requirements under consideration by city officials. The City Council, in the absence of Mayor R. Rex Parris, on Tuesday directed staff to draw up a new ordinance containing the proposed water-saving requirements. The requirements are to include new water-use regulations set forth in Assembly Bill 1881, under discussion for possible implementation in January 2010.
