Online Firm Receives $8.4 Million Investment

Online opinion community SodaHead received $8.4 million from two private investment firms in a second round of funding. The money for the Encino-based company came from Mission Ventures, a San Diego firm investing in early stage tech-driven service companies, and Mohr Davidow Ventures, of Menlo Park. At the SodaHead website, visitors can answer multiple questions that are posted every day. Since launching in September, the site has attracted more than 600,000 members and 3 million answers. SodaHead was founded by Jason Feffer, a founding member of MySpace, and Michael Glazer, who previously held a senior vice president position at Jeffries & Company.
