Small Business Fire Assistance

The Small Business Administration will have two Disaster Loan Outreach Centers in the Valley operating through Nov. 13 to assist those who have suffered home or business losses from the Marek and Sesnon fires. Businesses and private, non-profit organizations may borrow up to $2 million to repair or replace damaged or destroyed real estate, machinery and equipment, inventory and other business assets. Loans may also be available to make improvements that will better prepare businesses against future disasters. The Chatsworth center will be open Mondays and Tuesdays between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. through Nov. 10 at the Los Angeles County Dept. of Social Services building at 21415 Plummer St. The Kagel Canyon center will be open Wednesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Dexter Park Community Center at 11053 N. Trail Road through Nov. 13. For more information, visit www.sba.gov/services/disasterassistance
