PALMDALE – With unanimous votes Wednesday, the City Council agreed to adopt two new plans: one to reduce municipal labor costs and the other to encourage spending at Palmdale businesses. With the first vote, the council approved a plan that will allow full-time employees a chance to voluntarily resign in exchange for a payout of 1.5 weeks’ salary for every year of employment, up to a cap of $75,000 per worker.
