Easton Sports received exclusive rights to provide equipment to all teams participating in the Little League World Series, the company announced. The world series, the pre-eminent youth sporting event, gives a broad platform for Van Nuys-based Easton to showcase its baseball and softball equipment, said Mike Zlaket, executive vice president and general manager of Easton’s Baseball/Softball division. “It’s a very big statement from our company in a very difficult economic environment, but it’s the kind of confident, forward-thinking move that we think will pay big dividends both now and in the future,” Zlaket said. Easton will distribute ball gloves, batter’s gloves, catcher’s protective, bags, footwear, and accessories to each team participating in the Little League Baseball World Series.
