Warner Bros. Creates New DC Entertainment Division

Warner Bros. Entertainment has restructured its DC Comics business unit to better integrate its characters and brand into the other company divisions. Creating DC Entertainment as a separate division within Warner Bros. Entertainment taps into the expertise the studio has in building and sustaining franchises in feature films, television, interactive entertainment, and consumer products. Diane Nelson will head the new division and report to Jeff Robinov, president of the Warner Bros. Pictures Group. DC superheroes that Warner Bros. has brought the big and small screen include Superman and Batman. The studio currently has in development project featuring DC characters The Green Lantern, Jonah Hex, and Lobo. “DC Entertainment will help us to formally take the great working relationships between DC Comics and various Warner Bros. businesses to the next level in order to maximize every opportunity to bring DC’s unrivalled collection of titles and characters to life,” Nelson said.
