Azcar Technologies has acquired a controlling interest in post-production house Matchframe Video LLC in Burbank. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Azcar’s plans are to make the Matchframe facility available to mid-level and smaller clients not serviced by the large factory-based post-production companies. Azcar is a global broadcast and multi-media systems engineering consulting and design company with facilities in Pennsylvania and Canada, and sales and support staff in a number of U.S. locations, including the Los Angeles area. The company will provide Matchframe with access to its engineering, workflow management, consulting and system design services that will allow the Valley firm to expand into new markets. “We will continue to provide the highest level of episodic television and studio media services,” said Matchframe CEO Marvin Rich. “We will also be providing a full range of new media services including media preparation, metadata and asset management, hosting, transport and delivery of new media content.” Mark R.
