General Wax & Candle Co. in North Hollywood is recalling about 12,000 metallic candles due to a fire hazard. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said the company’s Silver Metallic Pillar Candles, contain metallic paint that could ignite, posing a risk of fire. No injuries have been reported. The candles, which are manufactured in the U.S., were sold at Bed Bath & Beyond from October through November for about $9. The recalled candles include 4 inch and 6 inch tall candles, 2.8 inches in diameter, with UPC code 86718 56082 and 86718 56092, which is printed on the bottom of the wrapping. Consumers were advised to stop using the recalled candles and return them to Bed Bath & Beyond for a full refund.
