EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Thanks to an overwhelming response, this year’s List is the largest thus far – growing to include fifty companies. They serve a variety of industries and employ two to nearly eight hundred. Since many of these businesses are small operations that will not disclose financial information, the List is once again ranked by these employment figures. Twenty-three of the 50 businesses are less than ten years old with 24 of the 50 returning from last year’s List. – By Josh Dausch THE PACE SETTER Moving from the no. 2 position in 2009 to no. 1 in 2010 is Stonefire Grill, Inc. which- employs 755 people at its 6 locations, 3 of which are in the greater San Fernando Valley with a seventh one opening soon in Thousand Oaks. Stonefire is managed by President Mary Harrigan who also runs Rattler’s Bar-B-Que in Santa Clarita. Stonefire is a casual dining restaurant aimed at serving both dine-in and take-out customers.
