Hertz Entertainment Services added to its film production support services with the acquisition of 24/7 Studio Equipment in Burbank. Terms of the deal between 24/7 and Hertz Global Holdings Inc., parent of Hertz Entertainment, were not disclosed. With on-location filming increasing in the Los Angeles area, the acquisition gives Hertz Entertainment another outlet to serve the entertainment industry. Founded in 2005 and owned by private equity firm Prospect Partners LLC, 24/7 supplies boomlifts, industrial forklifts, generators and light towers. “We’re confident 24/7’s customer base will appreciate the one-stop equipment and car rental shopping we offer while enjoying the mobility Hertz has when production needs take them on the road,” said Hertz Equipment Rental President Gerry Plescia.
