Owning a private plane is a big expense – and that’s just starting with the purchase price. Once in possession of the aircraft an owner will have fixed and variable costs associated with its operation and upkeep. To keep those costs down, some owners turn to aircraft management companies who get certain services at lower rates and who charter out the aircraft when the owner does not need it.
