Antelope Valley Completes First Phase of Parking Lot Renovation

Antelope Valley Hospital, the 420-bed hospital in Lancaster, completed the first phase of its parking lot expansion, part of a $32 million renovation that started in June. The second phase of the project, which will include new handicap parking spaces closer to the main entrance, an updated patient drop-off driveway, and a canopy over the main entrance, will begin on Nov. 14. The second phase will also include further expansion of the parking lot adjacent to the main entrance and directly north of the Phase I section that will open for patients and guests the same week. Avenue J-3 remains the access point for the main entrance and admitting department. To help patients and visitors access the main entrance more easily through the renovation, the hospital has made free valet parking available. The service will continue to be available through the second phase of the project. Patients of physicians in the adjacent medical office buildings, located at 44241 15th Street West and 44215 15th Street West, are also able to use the complimentary valet services. “Experiencing change can be a challenge even when it leads to improvements,” Edward Mirzabegian, CEO of Antelope Valley Hospital said in a statement. “I appreciate the community’s patience during our construction and want to encourage patients and visitors to continue using the free valet parking service.”
