MZI HealthCare Launches New Tools for New Healthcare Paradigm

MZI HealthCare of Valencia, a provider of potentially transformative healthcare solutions, today announced the launch of two new products — EZ-Analytics and EZ-Connect. The tools promise to help healthcare providers track clinical, financial and performance requirements, which will be critical under health care reform, said NC Murthy, chief executive officer of MZ, in a statement. “These new products provide organizations with advanced analytics, predictive modeling and connectivity tools to understand the health status and medical needs of designated patient populations, so they can better coordinate care and enhance quality and performance.” Company officials call EZ-Analytics “a sophisticated healthcare data warehouse, analytics and predictive modeling solution that enables healthcare organizations — and accountable care organizations (ACOs) to consolidate clinical and financial data from multiple sources to a single enterprise solution, which they can use to benchmark themselves against peers.” With data aggregated in one place, organizations then have access to a complete 360-degree view of their healthcare data, according to the company. For example, the tool enables organizations to analyze the chronic conditions and co-morbidities that exist in given populations, the company said. Using sophisticated data models, they can predict the healthcare needs, utilization trends and costs associated with populations—and even drill down to episodes of care, as well as profiles of patients and providers. MZI HealthCare has also launched EZ-Connect, a connectivity solution that facilitates the interoperability and information sharing necessary for care coordination, analytics and performance measures. With this tool, organizations can easily aggregate data from multiple sources and seamlessly exchange information between payers, providers and partners, the company said. Judy Temes
