Amgen, the Thousand Oaks biotech giant, expanded its board of directors to include its president and chief operating officer, the company announced Thursday.
Robert A. Bradway joined Amgen in 2006. Prior to his current roles, he served as vice president of operations strategy, executive vice president and chief financial officer.
Bradway also currently serves of the board for Norfolk Southern Corporation, a Virginia-based railroad operator.
The move brings the total number of directors on Amgen’s board to 13.
Also on Thursday, Amgen announced the company will pay a $0.28 per share dividend to its shareholders for the fourth quarter. The firm will pay out the money in early December to all stockholders as of Nov. 17.
