CSUN College of Business and Economics Ranked High

California State University, Northridge, has been named an outstanding business school by the Princeton Review for the fifth year in a row. The education services company features the school in the new 2012 edition of its book, “The Best 294 Business Schools.” In the profile on Northridge, Princeton Review editors called the College of Business and Economics “comparable to other major business schools, such as USC and UCLA, but much easier on your pocketbook and personal life.” The editors quoted MBA students who said, “Every course has applications to real-world business situations,” and noted the program concludes with a mandatory three-unit consulting project for a business in the community. “The courses are solid and the students really raise the bar. You know that most of the students will be reading, studying, memorizing and applying the material,” one student said. “We are pleased once again to be recognized by Princeton Review as among the finest MBA programs in the country,” said William Jennings, dean of CSUN’s College of Business and Economics in a statement. “Our faculty is committed to preparing our students well for their future success and for working in a global economy.” “We chose the 294 business schools in this book based on our high opinion of their academic programs and offerings, as well as our review of institutional data we collect from the school,” said Robert Franek, senior vice president for publishing at Princeton Review, in a statement.
