Health Net today announced the promotion of Thomas F. Carrato to president, Health Net Federal Services LLC, a part of the government contracts segment of the Woodland Hills health insurance company. Carrato will also have responsibility for MHN Government Services, a subsidiary of Managed Health Network, Inc. (MHN). Carrato will be responsibilities for the management and oversight of the company’s Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of Veteran Affairs lines of business, including DoD’s TRICARE and Military Family Life Counseling contract that is administered by MHN Government Services. Carrato joined Health Net in March 2006 as the program officer for Health Net’s DoD contracts. He has more than 27 years of experience in managing and overseeing government health care programs.
