Cinedigm Digital Cinema Corp. has funded and installed equipment in the 16 screens of independent Canada theater chain La Maison du Cinema. The chain is the eighth in Canada to work with Woodland Hills-based Cinedigm Digital to deploy digital cinema equipment. Cinedigm provides the funding for the equipment and then collects a virtual print fee from the major Hollywood studios. The company partnered with La Maison du Cinema through the chain’s owners, Denis and Karen Hurtubise, well respected members of the Quebec film industry, said Digital Cinema Services President Gary Loffredo. “We look forward to sharing the benefits of digital cinema with La Maison du Cinema’s customers, and enhancing the already magnificent cinematic experience that they offer,” Loffredo said in a prepared statement.
