Yoga Studio Moves Home to Woodland Hills

Seeking more space and more clients, Inner Power Yoga recently moved from its long-time home in Calabasas to a spot on Ventura Boulevard in Woodland Hills. The new location at 21928 Ventura Blvd. is expected to open to the public the week of Feb. 6 and within a month offer up to 60 classes a week, a 20 percent jump from its current offering, said owner Linda Pushkin-Suffin. “I really wanted to be more accessible,” the Woodland Hills resident said. “We were probably missing a whole bunch of people, and we thought we could get a lot more … by being on Ventura Boulevard.” The studio’s new, larger home will have more expansive studios, an expanded retail and lounge area and new dĂ©cor. Pushkin-Suffin said she has gained 400 additional square feet with the move, although because some space in her former location was unusable, the gain is greater. The new location will include one roughly 1,200-square-foot yoga room and another room just under half that size, she said. Inner Power, founded in 1998, has taken a 2,400-square-foot retail location, formerly occupied by Le Bon Bakery, a roughly 30-year Valley mainstay, said President Todd Nathanson of illi Commercial Real Estate, who along with his partners represented the landlord . Inner Power Yoga signed a five-year lease valued at $274,008.00, illi said. Senior Associate Greg Gieras of NAI Capital represented Inner Power Yoga. — Andrew Khouri
