San Fernando-based nonprofit, MEND –Meet Each Need with Dignity- has been selected by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ outreach program to host an Oscar Night gala celebrating the 84th Annual Academy Awards. The event, hosted by ABC7’s Danny Romero, will take place on Sunday Feb. 26 at the Globe Theater at Universal Studios Hollywood and include gourmet catering and celebrity guest appearances. This is the second year in a row MEND has been selected as Los Angeles’ officially- sanctioned party with proceeds directly benefiting MEND. Angela Melero
