National Technical Secures Supply Chain Contract

Testing and engineering services firm National Technical Systems received a $500,000 contract from an aerospace and defense company doing work at a military base in Virginia. Unitek Technical Services, the supply chain division of Calabasas-based National Technical, will provide technical and quality management services to Alliant Techsystems Inc. The work at the Radford Army Ammunitions Plant in Radford, Va., is expected to be completed by the end of January 2012. National Technical has provided testing services to Alliant in the past but this is the first contract for supply chain services, said company CEO William McGinnis. “This contract is evidence that our supply chain management services are gaining traction in our various target markets and we see greater demand in 2012 and beyond,” added Kevin Beard, president of NTS Supply Chain Services, in a prepared statement.
