Valley Firms Partner on TV Show

Two San Fernando Valley companies are collaborating on a new competition show for the Discovery Channel to air later this year. The still untitled show features inventors, engineers and other smart, scientific types living in a house and sharing a communal work space while taking on challenges pushing the boundaries of technology, creativity, ingenuity and craftsmanship. The show is produced by Pilgrim Studios, the North Hollywood production house whose credits include unscripted cable shows “American Choppers,” “Dirty Jobs,” and many others. An executive producer is Mark Fuller, who is no stranger to creativity and ingenuity himself as the founder WET Design, the designer and manufacturer of elaborate water features, including the fountains at the Bellagio, the Americana at Brand, and The Grove. As a company that that lives and dies by collaboration, it is crucial to the Sun Valley-based company to select the right partner for its projects, Fuller said in a prepared statement. “We know we have found an ideal partner in Craig Piligian’s Pilgrim Studios, a company that also exists at the juncture of craft and creativity,” Fuller said. Pilgrim looks for ways to expose exceptional skillsets, innovation and competition and the new show could only be set at WET Design, Piligian said. “They have moved the needle on the confluence of art and technology,” Piligian said in a prepared statement. — Mark R.
