KCLU, a radio station based out of California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, was honored with six Golden Mike Awards by Radio & Television News Association of Southern California.

The station, which provides NPR and local news programming in Ventura County, was the biggest winner among radio and television stations in Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties at RTNA’s award ceremony at the Universal Hilton Hotel on Jan. 20.

KCLU’s awards included Best News Special, Best Individual Writing, Best Sports Reporting, Best Business and Consumer Reporting, Best Entertainment Reporting and Best Use of Sound.
